MRNF - Land rental and other rights - Request to use public land
Note to the applicant
Before completing the form, the applicant must communicate with a Department point
of service to find out more about the availability of land and the relevant land use policies.
An applicant who finds an available plot that meets his or her needs may complete the application form on-screen and print it out. After signing it, the applicant must mail the application to the Department or deliver it to a Department point of service.
The application will be analyzed by Department personnel in accordance with certain criteria, such as:
the policies, directives and standards in force, as well as the development plans and programs applicable;
the type of request (rental, purchase, right-of-way, easement, exchange, etc.);
the planned use (building a cottage, developing a cross-country ski trail, etc.);
The Department has no obligation to give an applicant the right to use public land.
This form is not a registration form for the
random draw and may not be used for that purpose.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Application processing fee
A cheque or postal order for $28.22 ($25 plus GST and QST) made out to the Minister of Finance of Québec must be included to cover the application processing fee.
Identification of applicant
A lease can be issued only to a single individual or legal person. Where the lease is to be issued to a group of individuals, the members of the group must designate a representative in whose name the lease will be established.
When the land is to be purchased by a group of individuals, the application must be submitted with the required information concerning the other members of the group.
